Have been thinking about a new Autoloader...

The Fabarms caught my eye at Pheasant Fest. They have upland and waterfowl guns - all are gas...my experience has been with inertia.

Felt good shouldered and I liked the balance.

So curious if anyone here runs one of these, and if so, what's your experience?

Bump.

I am looking at a Fabarms gas auto as well. I have no experience with them. Don't know anyone that has one.

Bought an XLR5 for Sporting Clays. Full Sporting model witht the weights and all, so not a hunting model but I think they have a hunting version of the XLR5.

It swings nice, shoots extremely soft. However keep it lubed. Had run a lot of Skeet rounds, didn't clean it, went to shoot again and had an issue with it cycling certain shells. Lubed it up and a good cleaning and started running like a champ again. Probably not an issue as most hunters clean after each trip.

That all said, Fabarm raised the XLR5 price recently, I'm not sure its worth the current extra money over a Beretta A400. They shoot similar. Stocks feel different though. My A400 is a field gun.
