I'm looking for a pair of lightweight-ish waders that I could pack around the woods with me on long fishing trips that I'm hiking alot. I was looking at the Orvis Ultralight Convertible Waders. Reviews are mixed. Figured I'd reach out here to see if anyone had experience with them or other recommendations. Thanks.

Patagonia makes a light version of their swiftcurrent waders. I have the expedition weight and love them. The only orvis wader experience I have is a top of the line set that my wife wore out in 4 years. Not a lot of days on the water and they were no longer patchable. Shes in a pair of Simms now.

The durability of Orvis waders is what I'm worried about, reading the reviews. I've yet to see the light version of the Patagonias. I'll check them out. Thanks for the info

I use them and love them, but I'm pretty easy on them so can't speak to durability. They seem well constructed and I like the convertible design and light weight.

How long have you been using yours? Do you use the Ultralight boot as well? Thanks.

Two years. Mostly stream fishing with some brush busting through leafy cinquefoil then riding around in the back of the truck afterwards.

I was going to purchase the lightweight boot but it was backordered. I'm using the Clear Creek boot and its fine for my needs.
