I used that scope (with Mil-dot) on a .338 WM for a moose and grizz hunt. It was perfect. With mil-dots, I had decent holdovers, but truth is I was using it as a MPBR gun. The scope was perfect in that application. I don't dial the capped Accupoints, but their adjustments are solid.
Recently browsing Trijicon's website, I noticed they sell a 3-18x42 and 4-16x50 Accupoint that have a dialing elevation turret. The 3-18 I believe is MOA only, but the 4-16 has a mil option. I'm seriously considering that 4-16 in mils as it could possibly be a very sweet spot for how I like to hunt.
Accupoints are very nice scopes. I own a 1-6x24, 3-9x40, and 2.5-12.5x42 and I have never thought the reticle wasn't bright enough, midday or last light.
