I’m thinking so. I’ve got the Huron on it right now and have been very impressed with that little scope.I don’t have experience with that one, but no issues at all with the Accupoint 3-9x40. I don’t dial with it, but the adjustments are crisp and accurate. When I was shopping around, I settled on the 3-9x40 because it was lighter and cheaper, but I think you will be very happy with your choice.
Isnt the accupoint the replacement for the now-discontinued accupower? The accupoint looks good on paper, but at the end of the day its not daylight bright and batteries last for years in modern lpvo's
IMO, get the accupower or credo instead.
I believe experience with these scopes varies, no doubt. Thanks for sharing your take.Isnt the accupoint the replacement for the now-discontinued accupower?
Ive used accupoint 1-6, 3-9 and credo 3-9. Not the 2.5-12 though. My accupoint is pretty bright during daylight. Not rds bright, but plenty bright any time reticle visibility is even remotely an issue for a hunting scope. And its always on. To me its very worthwhile in the right situation and I really like my accupoint, more so than the equivalent credos.
I find the clicks on the trijicon capped turrets to be fairly crisp, but its quite easy to lift and inadvertently spin the turret when uncapped. If I were looking for a dialing scope it would not be my choice for this reason. That said I know at least a few people do this. If Inwas planning to dial more than extremely rarely Id get a scope that is more purpose-built for dialing.
I used that scope (with Mil-dot) on a .338 WM for a moose and grizz hunt. It was perfect. With mil-dots, I had decent holdovers, but truth is I was using it as a MPBR gun. The scope was perfect in that application. I don't dial the capped Accupoints, but their adjustments are solid.Looking at the accupoint 2.5-12 for a 308. Looking for some feedback if anyone has it. It’ll be going on a 7# suppressed 20” 308. Shooting most game out to max 500 yds. I’m guessing dialing ability under the capped turret.
I’ll def look at that. I like an exposed turret. I dial if I have time. Get too worked up to remember to hold elevation. lol.I used that scope (with Mil-dot) on a .338 WM for a moose and grizz hunt. Recently browsing Trijicon's website, I noticed they sell a 3-18x42 and 4-16x50 Accupoint that have a dialing elevation turret. The 3-18 I believe is MOA only, but the 4-16 has a mil option. I'm seriously considering that 4-16 in mils as it could possibly be a very sweet spot for how I like to hunt.
Accupoints are very nice scopes. I own a 1-6x24, 3-9x40, and 2.5-12.5x42 and I have never thought the reticle wasn't bright enough, midday or last light.

The accupoint is absolutely daylight bright during the day when using the fiber optic intake. At last light it will be dimmer since it’s taking in less light. The tritium illumination is pretty dim on its own.The accupoint looks good on paper, but at the end of the day its not daylight bright and batteries last for years in modern lpvo's

No, the accupoint and accupower are separate lines all together. The accupower was replaced by the credoIsnt the accupoint the replacement for the now-discontinued accupower?
