Anyone running a Weatherby 307 Alpine CT?

That is some pretty awesome shooting! I am loving mine in 7prc still . It really likes the federal 175 eld-x load and am getting 3020fps and 1/2moa three shot groups with 10rd groups at .9-1.1”… can’t ask for more than that in a 7 pound 12oz rig.

Geez! Nice. It's a shooter for sure.

Took my 307 out last weekend to prep for rifle season. Fired a cold bore group off my pack at 500yds. (It is still hot here in GA so it was 87 with a ton of mirage at 2pm!) I jerked one up 3.75” but the other two are 1.25” so I’m happy with that. (The rest of the shooting was on gongs.)
Couldn’t be any happier with the rifle overall!

I got in a bind with my rifle before a hunt up north and bought an Alpine CT in 6.5RPM a month before the hunt. It shoots really well with the factory 156s and I am now having good luck with hand loaded 140s. I really like the stock. I’d buy one again.

I’m really interested to hear your thoughts on this gun. I’ve been seriously considering getting one in 300 wby. Is the recoil with the break pretty manageable?

Dutchman, how did the 1:10 perform with the weatherby? I just ordered a 307 carbon fiber in 300 prc and I'm a little concerned about the twist as well. But I figure if they're making it, it must be a decent matchup. I don't plan on shooting super heavy bullets probably a Barnes copper bullet.

dutchman, how did that 300 PRC with a one and 10 twist do? I just ordered a 307 carbon fiber barrel 22" and is a little concerned about the slower twist, but I figured if they're making it, it must be good. I don't plan on shooting super heavy bullets probably the Barnes 208 grain if a groups well.
