Anyone interested in a new challenge?

Trying something a bit different this year. Just swapped stuff over.

55# ish, 420ish gr arrow (way heavier than I first planned, but wanted to try something)

I have been gravitating more and more to fixed heads, I want as much forgiveness as possible since I can still only feel half my hand and don't know when my grip is right or wrong. So a bit slower will help with that, and heavy helical, tho I might try a little less and see how it is.

First shots out of this new hunting setup.

Made a gang adjustment on sight, was actually aiming at the little spec of dark in the guts so wasn't too bad.

No tuning yet really, just set CS, rest ballpark of where I normally have it, cam lean how it usually tunes.

Backed upto 45, put sight on 47 yards as it was on a bit faster setup and was pleased with what it did, little horizontal spread.

So, I have 6 shots through it now, probably shot this bow 80 times so far since I put new strings and cables on it, was also just shooting it backed out 2 turns around 45#.

6 shots was kinda enough for now. If it doesn't rain, might go back out.

This thing was my idea, so I'll post some pics once I get everything setup, y'all can see how much I suck.

Just figured I'd update it since its been a minute since I posted it.

This might lead to me having a bow tuned earlier than I have in a long time too, usually I'm helping everyone else leading upto season and it's day before opener I'm getting my junk set.

Looking good BG!

Started at 20 yards and got to 35. Then shot a 5 shot group at 35. Have a lot of work to do. This is my second year taking archery seriously. Looking forward to this season. My goal is to have a 4” group at 40 yards come October 1.

Thats not bad. On the internet everyone is an elite archer.

In the real world, its definitely not the case.

I don't know if it's people not being honest with themselves, discounting shots, or just fibbing on the net.

But much like moa rifles, they aren't as common as you are lead to believe. The percentage of archers that can hold a 4" group consistently at 40 yards with a hunting bow, especially with broadheads is pretty low.

To clarify, I'm meaning out of at least 10 shots, one wouldn't fall out of the 4".
Let alone if you were to try a Fita round and keep them all in the yellow.
