Anyone heard of Oregon Mountain Rifle company?

Just got my 300wsm back from OMR. Had it done in less than 1 week. This gun has always shot extremely well until I tried to hang a suppressor off the end. It started to open up after multiple rounds so I wanted to stiffen up the barrel to hopefully be able to shoot it suppressed with the same consistency/grouping. The first photo is before they turned my barrel down and Carbon wrapped. Its not the best photo but only one I had. I would say that if it shoots as good as it looks OMR will be building me one of there customs next. I’ll post photos after I get out and shoot later this week.
Great looking rifle! Can’t wait to see how it shoots!

I was able to get out and shoot my Sako 300wsm today that OMR turned down and carbon wrapped for me. It only took a couple rounds to get her dialed in before I was grouping a few together. Overall I am extremely happy with the results. Looks and shoots great. I am awaiting a thread adapter for my suppressor with the new pitch thread so for I’m still shooting it with a loud muzzle break. The first green target is my first three rounds that I tried grouping and the 2nd green target is 4 rounds both targets at 100 yards. Dime on the green targets for reference. The Orange target is 3 rounds 200yds.

That’s awesome! Did they also open up the stock to accept the barrel contour?

Yes OMG opened up the stock and bedded. I'll have to search around and see if I can find a target from before the work was done. This gun has always shot really well and when it didn't I'm sure it was me not the gun. This gun is very sentimental for multiple reason and once I started shooting suppressed I really didn't want to shoot anything else. Because it was a finnlight it had a very thing fluted barrel and hanging a suppressor off the end was not allowing for consistency. Once I finally get the suppressor back on I'll post up again but that will be after the holidays.

How does the weight compare before and after the carbon wrap?

I'm in for this as well. I found them looking for remington prefit barrels and the price has me both interested and worried. Looks like people are having good results!

I'm also interested if there was any weight reduction. I have a Magnum Research Mountain Eagle in 300wm. Essentially it's a factory semi-custom; Sako L691 action, HS Precision stock, Kreiger barrel. It's an absolute tack driver, but built like a tank! Unfortunately, lighter aftermarket stocks are virtually non-existent. So I'm wondering if a carbon wrap might lighten it up?

Just came across OMR this morning and then found this thread. Interested to see weight differences before/after.
