Anyone have success with eld-vt?

I've shot factory loaded eld-vt in 6 arc which did not group well, and now I am reloading 100gr VT in 6.5 creedmoor. The rifle is a bergara wilderness hmr that absolutely stacks factory 147's. Regular sub 1" for 10.

I've tried varget, cfe-223, and N150. The cfe-223 grouped best and had the best velocity, 3300 average , but I can't get 10 under 1.25" which is my goal.

Varget was a max load at 5 different seating depths by 0.010. All groups were essentially the same. 3200 average. N150 was in between in group and velocity.

Is this just a really picky bullet? Do they like a lot or a little jump?

I'm very new to reloading so going at this in some haphazard combination of forms painless reloading and some of my friends who obsess over seating depth suggestions. My next idea would be to drop the cfe and n150 loads by a grain and see. 1000004579.jpg

Not shown are the first groups of varget at 2.775, which are essentially the same as the other coal variations. There were some 10-15mph gusts when shooting.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I have had luck with the 62s in a 223. I’m not jumping them far in that rifle.

And I have seen some impressive groups out of Hornady factory 6.5cm eld vt ammo.

I had been meaning to make a post asking the same thing. Absolutely cannot get the 62gr to shoot in my 22 ARC. I've tried Varget and Accurate 2520, as well as the factory loading. 2-2.5" groups at 100, but the factory Match ammo, as well as my load for the 75gr ELD-M are will shoot under an inch for 10 shots.

I was seating mine to mag length, but using the method of pushing the bullet into a resized case by chambering a dummy round, I couldn't get an accurate idea of how far off the lands I am. I did just buy the Hornady OAL gauge just to make measuring the lands easier, and will be curious how far I actually am off with the 62gr. This is in a Ruger American Gen 2.

Even with that information, I've given up on getting these things to shoot

I have shot the 62 gr ELD-VT in my 22 Creedmoor and the 80 gr in my 6BR and both have shot very well. I don't have any pics to show though, but they both shot sub MOA at 100 yds.

Care to share any load details for 22cm?

I just picked up some 62s and was going to try soon.

My 22 CM seems to like them. 1:7.5 twist, 22" barrel. These are 5 shot groups at 100 yards across charges from 37.5 - 40 gr of Varget. White square is 1". I settled for 39 gr at 3654. Loaded up 100 of them last week for thermal use.
