Anyone have a tricked out .22 pistol they hunt squirrels with.

I'm glad I did on mine.

It will make you want a trigger job though; you can see how much you wiggle squeezing the factory trigger past the creep until it breaks. I think my new 22/45 Lite has a worse trigger than the Ruger 22 pistols I've had in the past, but it may just be the dot shows me the movement so much more on this one. I'll have it upgraded soon.

I recommend the Volquartsen trigger kits for the Ruger .22.
I have installed them on several of my Rugers over the years.
Always happy with them!
These two are the Volquartsen complete lower receiver replacements.
The red fluted has a Tactical Solutions upper and the other is a complete
Volquartsen.
Both are very, very accurate.

Did you get the barrel chopped and threaded or is this an aftermarket barrel? Super cool setup!
Thanks! It's a stock upper that I got from a local smith McCluskey Arms in Eugene OR. He chopped it himself, I think it's something he regularly stocks

I've got an older Ruger 22/45 with a Bushnell 2-6 Scope on it. Only handgun I've ever left a scope on. It's had an upgraded trigger and is surprisingly accurate with several different ammos. It's taken several squirrels and varmints.

Y'all made me buy this. I'll likely slap a Holosun on it but haven't decided which one. The plan is for the wife to carry it and take out Grouse while I'm Elk hunting. Trigger is surprisingly good..

How are you liking the fn502? Im torn between getting something like that or a 22/45 lite or tactical

Pretty good so far. I got a Holosun for my birthday and slapped it on and got after it. The trigger is surprisingly good as well, much better than the Ruger tactical when I dry fired them side by side (with permission) at the gun shop. I wasn't able to shoot the Ruger with live ammo though. The 502 is deceivingly light, doesn't look like it but when you pick it up it's surprising. I never shot it unsuppressed now that I think about it, but we shot subs and supers both suppressed without any issues.

I have a Ruger 22/45 that I like a lot, but lately, the Ruger 5.7 has been getting most of my attention. A buddy smashed a coyote at 136 yards with his.
