Anyone have a Kimber (7/16-28 thread) they had cut and threaded to 1/2-28?

I’m wondering how much barrel I’d have to have cut off on a 22” 308 Hunter to have a shoulder for a 1/2-28 thread?

I’m thinking a 19” or 20” barrel would be perfect anyway!

I had my .308 Montana cut to 16.5", but I stayed with 7/16-28 so I could continue using the factory thread protector, muzzle break, and 5/8-24 adapter. I was sort of trying to keep it "as factory as possible" but with a shorter barrel.
