I see there are a couple sticky threads on MTN Tough program and they talk about a discount code for us. But when I enter it it says not valid. Is there anyone from MTNTOUGH on here anymore, or anyone know about a discount code?

I’m 46 and sit in front of a computer the majority of my day, and travel some for work eating out a lot. In other words I’m not in good shape at all. I just did week one day one of the body weight On Ramp program and I was able to do it but man it kicked my butt. Really showed me I need to start doing something! I’d like to give MTNTough a try but while I do want, no need to get in better shape, I’m not sure the MTNTough program won’t kill me…..or that I will stick with it.

I’m not looking to become a gym rat or become the hulk, just get more mobile, flexible, increase strength, and enjoy back country hunting more.

I haven’t tried MTNtough yet but I use an app based workout program called Ladder that I really like, you pick a coach based on what type of fitness you want to achieve and what equipment you have to work with. I know it sounds silly but I use Ladder because I like to listen to my own music while doing the workout, from what I’ve seen MTNtough doesn’t allow play your own music on a different app while working out… Ladder gives you a nice, well laid out workout to do. I think I paid $180 for this years subscription

OP, sorry those haven’t been updated, they are still active on Rokslide. I’ll let them know.

Thank you so much. I will definitely use this.

Boy am I sore today after the one workout last night. But I'm gonna give it my all. I stopped at the store this morning and got a protein drink for breakfast. Been trying to drink a ton of water and took a break and walked up and down the stairs here at the office which is 5 flights up and 5 down. Legs feel like jello by the time I got back to my office.

That's interesting.. How does it work? The workouts look coached, so does the music play in the background and you can still hear what they coaches are saying and/or timers in the app?

I use the mtn tough app on a smart tv so I can have some music playing in the background and still be able to hear the timers and coaches, but if you're using the app on your phone, that would definitely be a problem.

Yeah that’s pretty much how it works. You can play your Spotify, Apple Music, etc. in the background and then when you’re getting coached in the app, your background music volume will lower but keep playing while the coach gives you some instruction/encouragement and then when the coach is done, your music jumps back up to volume. It’s great for when I’m at the gym wearing my ear buds. I tried some of the MTNtough workouts on a trial once and not being able to listen to music while working out drove me nuts lol

I believe Ladder has a week free trial or at least a free workout or two to try before you buy
