damn.

i hog hunted sat, and then did about 20 miles on a mountain bike sunday. my ankle was sore, but i rode my bike anyways. big mistake. did some big climbs fine..but the next morning..i was limping!!

i did what everyone does and googled "ankle pain". i think it is my achilles. i can pinch it and not cause pain. it is more like, behind the big tendon. i cannot flex my foot up or down without grimacing.

ice and Aleve. what else? i am resting for sure. i took yesterday and today off..laying on the couch reading jack reacher novels.

i wanted to go pig hunting today., cuz i found a great honey hole. big climb to a small grove of trees.

i dont want to break this tendon. i am laying off for sure.

Sounds like you might have a little achilles tendonitis. If that's the case, ice, anti-inflammatory and rest should clear it up pretty quick.

I had a sore Achilles this fall in Colorado. Hurt to pinch it. Taped my ankle up which helped a lot but didn't get rid of the problem. Think I narrowed it down to my boots being so beat down it developed a pinch point. Quit lacing my boot up so tight and that helped as well.

Ice and heat alternating does wonders. You don't get very much blood flow to your tendons. This helps a continual supply of circulation which drastically reduces recovery time. Least for me it did. Good luck!
