Anyone else get a new pup this year?

My wife and I are currently in negotiations about a new dog. She's got her mind set on a French Bulldog, but I would like something that can chase grouse and handle long scouting hikes. Looking forward to having a new pup after 2yrs without.

Yeah man, I got a Small Munsterlander back in April. Just did his NAVHDA NA test last week. Great little dog.

New Drahthaar pup here also. He'll be 1 later this month and is doing great. It's been 10 years since I had my last bird dog and I forgot how much I missed it.

We picked up our griff in January. Poor guy hurt his knee, cruciate, hunting grouse so I pulled him off of mountain duty. I have been chasing pheasants with him since season opened a couple weeks ago and he has really started to learn the game and his knee isn't bothering him running the fields.

He is really starting to mature now and I can see glimpses of what he will be with more experience and work in the future. Gets me even more excited!

This is SUPPOSED to be my hot shot bird dog!!!! She turned 1 year old yesterday. She still likes to chew, and immediately has chewers remorse when she gets caught! She’s going for her first hunt on Saturday! I told her if she doesn’t find some pheasants she’s going back!

I just put a deposit down on a Boykin pup after losing my old boy earlier this year. She'll be ready for pickup in mid December. I'm both excited and nervous about training another bird dog. Let's hope I make fewer screw ups training this one than the last one. The good thing about a good dog is they are more loving and forgiving than me when I get things wrong. Congrats to everyone on their new pups.
