Anyone else get a new pup this year?

Just know wives. My wife wants a dog but she wants a corgi or wiener dog. Both equally useless but I am sure we will end up with a corgi.

Corgi's are far from useless. If you can't find enough for them to do, THEY will put YOU to work!! So basically it's like having a second wife....

Had a ‘get right with god’ talk mid hunt this afternoon and that settled him into working for me. Two nice steady to flush birds.

Every jagd I see, makes me want and not want another one. Hunter to the bone.

Once you understand the terrier hunt drive.......then the Jagd drive your all good!

9 mo old wirehair. turned 1 yr old few days ago, close to 60 wild birds shot over his points this season, 1 bird at a time, havent shot a single wild flushing bird over him, best young dog ive had, and ive had numerous

This is my new ESS Marshall, he was born in June. If I don’t mess him up, I hope to shoot pheasants over him!

Got my first lab this April when she was 8 weeks old, I have never trained a dog so this is all new but I am having a blast with her. We have done both AKC and HRC Hunt Test and at 11 months old she has become a great family pet and turning into a good hunting dog.

Picked up my Boykin this October. Getting her out on the water. Looking forward to getting after some wood ducks next season.

Thats awesome those purple ribbons are sharp. I am already looking forward to next years hunt tests its an absolute blast watching good dogs run.

I’ve never hunted with a Boykin but I have met a few. Great personalities and size.

If I wasn’t hooked on pointers, I would be a Boykin guy most likely. Enjoy that pup!

I posted early Novemver with Charlie. Here he is at just 8 months old on his first limit hunt. We hunted with another more experienced dog, so this was not all his work. He flushed two and retrieved his first wild bird to hand, which was very cool. Hopefully everyone is enjoying their new additions and getting them some field experience this fall. Merry Christmas everyone!

That’s awesome!!! Your dog looks like he’s going to be huge, and getting the first retrieve is a great achievement!

Well, he isn't a French bulldog, but not exactly a bird dog either. I do think he has potential to be one of the best one eyed dogs I've hunted with. Local rescue sent my wife pics, and we couldn't resist.View attachment 359056
