Does anyone else dislike these buckles on Kifaru packs? I’d much prefer a regular buckle with out the weird locking mechanism. Never in my life have I had an issue with a regular buckle getting loose on its own. They also just extend the size of the buckle so you can’t cinch the strap down quite as tight if you don’t have the pack fully stuffed.

Hated them, replaced them all with these or regular Kifaru buckles. I have a bag full of them in my gear closet that will never get used. I’ve packed thousands of pounds of meat over the years with my duplex with regular non locking buckles and have had zero issues with them coming loose.

I also replaced the new load lifter buckles that are a PITA to use. These also pull the bag over an inch closer to the frame which is nice and another annoying thing about the locking buckles.

Same. On all accounts!

I’m definitely gonna switch to those. I also hate the new load lifter buckles. They’re a pain to use even when it’s warm, I can’t imagine how annoying they’ll be when my hands are cold.
