Anybody Shed Hunting?

Found a few this year so far, about 45 miles hiked I’d say. Hope to get back out next week, it’s been tough to get into where I want to go due to snow and road closures but not bad so far considering

Nice work! It’s been a busy year so not getting out as much as I’d like but the snow has really shuffled things around. That being said here’s a nice set of elk sheds we found last year.

Man you guys are lucky all my elk are a couple hours north found this little whitetail shed is all only been out a couple times.

Not sure how I've been so busy. Made it out 1 afternoon. Mainly to get the dogs out for a run. But we found a few. Nothing you brag about. Small set were 6ft apart which was handy.

One small raghorn side while fixing fence last week. No she’s hunting on public land here yet. So I’ve gotta keep it to the private spots, not too many bulls going through right now because of the snow.

It's been a strange year so far by me, I'm seeing Bucks with 3-4" or new growth and just the other day I saw 6 Bull's together still sporting head gear. I don't really get into the whole shed hunting thing, but where these Bull's are located I figure the public won't get in there once the season opens so I may have to wonder around a bit and see if I get lucky.

Season doesn’t start until May 1

I got out this last weekend but in the three herds I spotted, all the bulls still had antlers

@DeePow yesh my last hike was the 9th and I saw a 5x5 and a 5x6 still packing

One older deadhead last week and a bull I’m guessing was from general season. Too bad as he was a dandy that’s for sure. Also found two sheds off of smaller bulls. One from last year one from this year
