Anybody selling solar?

I'd ask any future employer about how this is impacting them. It is making huge waves in the utility scale solar industry.

Wide scale solar is a dying craze. It sounded good, but the reality is "electrifying"...

Anyone else notice the amount of anti renewable energy news and info increases with the price of oil and gas? Wonder why?

My wifes unlce and her cousins husband both sell/install solar. Both seem to do well for themselves.

Her uncle lives in Eastern Arizona and does solar and is a general contractor.
Her cousins husband lives outside of Denver and does solar exclusively.

I may need to find a new sales job, does anyone sell solar for a living?
A good buddy runs a HVAC company that also sells and installs solar. He may be looking for a salesman. We are up north though in Chico. If interested, PM me and I can get you in contact with him.

I really wish they would stop subsidizing it with tax money. Same with electric cars.
They only are subsidizing the electric car companies they choose to... Not the one that made it mainstream privately and built it's own infrastructure successfully...

I'll add ethanol, oil, farm exports, housing onto my wish list of things they shouldn't subsidize.

Chicom solar is possibly the least environmentally friendly PV out there.

They just push it thru China friendly countries. If anyone is even remotely serious about climate change look into how many coal fired power plants, with very little pollution control, the Chinese need to keep us supplied with our cheap goods. I won’t even go into chinas disregard for dumping toxic byproducts.

This is how they sling their cheap, zero regard for the environment to us.

The Commerce investigation follows a complaint by Auxin Solar, a small California-based manufacturer that said solar panels assembled in four Southeast Asian nations — Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam — are circumventing rules intended to block imports of solar cells and panels from China.

Geographically, there are places that solar makes sense. Others, not so much. You place it in the areas that make sense. These places, primarily, are in the desert southwest. The further north you go, the more ridiculous it really is.

Are you saying Tesla was never subsidized?

Glad you questioned it, I was incorrect in my assumption and learned something.

Tesla has received subsidized loans and grant money. In aggregate a total of 2.4 billion all loans have been repaid in full a decade ago now.

Ford recieved 33.39 billion 5.9billion on a loan yet to be repaid
Nissan 2 billion, nothing repaid
Gm 50 billion- went into bankruptcy, yet to be repaid
Chrysler 17 billion- yet to be repaid.

So while yes they did recieve a loan and they have received grant money it is nothing in comparison to the amount of funding the others have received.

Edit to add the subsidies I'm referring to are under the atmv.

They subsidize all of them when they give you a tax write off for buying an EV.
