Any reason not to use a tikka?

I’ve always used and shot Remington 700s and clone actions. I’ve owned a couple tikkas and they have hammered. But never given much thought into rebarreling one. I’ve been wanting to build a 25sst. So I’m looking at getting a new custom action but my buddy has a stainless t3x 300wsm he said he would sell me for 500 bucks. Just wondering if the tikka would be worth buying for the action

No reason not to in my opinion.
Prefit barrels readily available, factory trigger is better than decent. The aftermarket for stocks has grown quite a bit, its not limiting in any way.

Naw, man. You don’t want it. Just PM me your buddy’s contact info so I can reach out and buy it.

Kidding aside, send it. Build what you want. Parts are plentiful.

To answer the question that is the title of this thread: no. Tikka actions are the foundation for many economical builds in the area I live. This also seems true nationally from the many threads and posts that can be found on this website.

My hunting rifles shoot great. I hunt with a Ruger M77 (tang safety) in 25-06 that I bought new in 1970. It has killed over 100 deer & antelope. I also have a #1 Ruger in .300 Wby and it has killed deer, elk & moose.

No reason to change anything!!! Dead is dead.

Tang safety is an absolute must have with me, unless its going to be a cheap loaner rifle.

What does this have to do with the question posed by the OP about Tikka?
