Put together my first wildcat last summer.

I saw the 6mmSPC mentioned above, but I decided on the 22 cal variant for my coyote rifle. I'd been using my 16" 223 Wylde barrel and wasn't happy with the velocity or groups I was getting, so I did some reading and settled on the 22-6.8 SPC with a 22" barrel. This custom barrel shoots far better than a generic off the shelf AR barrel, and a 60 grain Sierra TMK at 3400 fps sure gets the job done on yotes

My Bighorn Origin for my 6.5 SST just got done! It'll be my first dive into a wild cat. Figure you can't find factory ammo or brass so might as well see what these Sherman's are about.

Wow, let's see.....
At one time, the 6PPC was a wildcat, but you can buy ammo now. Still, most form new brass from the 220 Russian case. The benchrest favorite.

As a side note, many use mandrels to "neck up" case necks, and I have too. But nothing will form a case better than fireforming.

I’m building a 6x6.8 aka 6spc right now on a AR. Waiting on the barrel. It will be a designated night time coyote rifle with a thermal scope on top.
Right now I’m planning on loading up 70 NBT with either IMR 8208 or H322.
Got my dies from CH4D.
My barrel is coming from Rich’s Precision rifles via Tactical Ordinance. Not sure about these two businesses.
Anywho if anyone has any load data for this caliber I would like to see it.
Thanks

How do you guys get dies made for your wildcat? I’ve been thinking of making a 35 SAUM
Send 3 fired cases off to the die maker and they'll hook you up with a set of dies. I know there is the cart before the horse thing to consider. I like the 35 WSM's I've built. I bet the SAUM would be cool too. For my 35WSM sizing die I sent a 325WSM die to JLC to have them turn it into a bushing die. He made the bushing too. For the seater I reamed a wilson die blank with the chamber reamer.

6X45 shooting 100gr Norma Oryx from an older Sako Vixen is my current favorite deer rifle for the Adirondacks. Simple and efficient.

I got my 22 SPC barrel through Ritch, fit & finish was top notch and it's been a tackdriver since day one. Very happy with it

20 practical and 22-250 ackley. Nothing too extreme but I like them. I had a 6x45 barrel but sold it for the 20 practical.

I thought of the SAUM since I have a Rem model 7 in a 300 SAUM, would be easy to have JES rebore it to .358 cal and have a bear thumper. I have an old 35 whelen die and a bunch of bullets so made some "35 saum" mockups to see how it looks. Will see if I do it...
