They are a lot of rifle for the money, if you're looking for the lightest possible option for the $. I considered buying one many times but never did. Someone I work with recently bought one and I had the chance to shoot it one day. After handling it and shooting it, I realized why I never bought one. It was just too small for me. Felt like a toy in my hands. I know that's a weird excuse but a rifle has to "feel" right in order for me to like it. I shot his rifle one time and handed it back to him. He's quite a bit smaller than me and I think it suited him just fine. It shot halfway decent. 1" group right out of the box with green box remingtons. Nothing to really complain about there. If that were my rifle, I'd have to shoot that stock with some textured paint so I could grip it. That smooth plastic is just too slick in the hands for me.

But again, nothing really wrong with them and for the money, you're not going to get a lighter rifle.

Friend has one in 6.5 CM and it’s a tack driver.

If any ever show up in 280 AI, in either the Hunter or Pro Hunter, I’ll likely grab one.

I have one in 280AI, didnt like the barnes bullets but found a great load with Hammers. A little difficult to shoot for myself being so lightweight but it really makes you focus on being steady. Great rifle for the price and easy to pack around.

Like mentioned above, they are an acquired taste-coming from a lifetime of good wood and rich blueing it was a shift for me.

I have one in 30-06, and after reducing the weight even more and learning to manage the quirks of shooting an ultralight rifle it is MOA with my practice loads and 1/2 MOA with my hunting loads (when i remember that its not a 9lb rifle).

I have one (slightly modded) in .308. Great rifle- accurate, reliable and very light- mine is sub 6 lbs with scope/rings/mounts :)

Be sure to check on the multi-page Kimber Hunter modification thread- lots of good info and ideas.

A few of us have modified them extensively…here is my .358 Win. I think I’ll be putting a different scope on it soon, would like more than 5x on the top end for range purposes.

I hunt with one in .270 pretty often and like it a lot. I wasn't super impressed with the accuracy at first but after bedding the lug, it's a tack driver.

I’ve got a Hunter Pro Desolve Blak in 6.5 cm and it is a tackdriver. Pulled 8oz of gel out of the stock and love carrying it around.

I don't have a hunter but i do have a montana in 6.5 creed. shooting a lightweight rifle has a learning curve for sure but mine has been excellent. you forget its there when on a long hike.

almost picked up a hunter/pro hunter but i wanted the brake and the carbon stock was worth the extra money to me.

Picked up a "used" model earlier this year (it was actually built in August '21) in .257 Bob. I haven't shot it much yet, between a kidney stone & the woo-hoo flu, but the 30 or so rounds I put through it made me really happy with my purchase. It might not be the most accurate rifle I own (it might, don't know yet!), but it'll certainly kill anything I'll ever point it at.

My hunter in 308 shoots well and ammo is obviously easy to find.

Only gripe is the stock. Just gave it a fresh paint job but I should wish it was more sturdy
