I love my Kimber M84s, I truly do.

But it's seems they've created a nice little side gig selling replacement firing pin springs to replace what was, obviously, a design flaw. At $7.50 apiece, the price is not killer, but they should replace them for free. I replaced one on a Montana .257 Robts about two years ago. Now I need one for a Classic Select 7-08. So, I ordered two, knowing that sooner or later I'd need one for a Montana in 7-08, as well. Bad enough they charge $15 for the parts, but then, they bag you 12 bucks shipping! I know the USPS rate is not that high for the tiny envelope that they'll arrive in.

Sorry for the rant. Anybody ever have to go through this bs with Kimber?

Haven't had a problem with any of mine.

You just start getting light strikes or what happens when they are bad?

Yep, light strikes. There was a time frame when it was most prevalent. I dont recall the years offhand. They supplied free replacements for a short while, then stopped. The replacements are longer by about 5/8", and much stiffer.
I didn't have a problem with any of mine either, till I did.
