Any issues with having someone else transport your game meat to TX from Canada?

A buddy and I are leaving in the morning for our archery moose hunts in British Columbia.

To save us a fortune on checked bags - bringing the meat back on the plane, my retired parents offered to drive up (from Dallas) and pick up our meat after we have it processed locally in BC (potentially 2 moose) and bring it back home.

Any issues with them (not us, the hunters) bringing the meat back from into the states? Any special game meat transporting forms me and the other hunter needs to fill out beforehand? Any other potential issues with Customs, FDA, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Services, etc.?

No, shouldn't be an issue, but I would suggest an export tag be filled out and a simple transfer of possession form with what you gave him to transport and all the pertinent contact info.

Call Alaska Meat Express and ask them specs on what you need. They ship antlers and meat through canada from Alaska and end on the otherside of the US.

Thanks Larry - I appreciate it.
