I’ve had it for a few weeks. So far I’m happy. The only downside has been the fuel efficiency. She got 11 mpg towing a #7k trailer. I’m hoping that will get better, especially after the emissions delete I’ll do once the engine warranty expires in 5 years. I did wind up going with the standard output 6.7. The guy at the dealership told me that with what I want to do with the pickup, the HO would essentially be $2k for a red badge and a lot more def consumption. He said you don’t notice the difference until you start pulling #20k+ loads, which this pickup isn’t even rated for.
The only thing I may have done differently is have gone with the F350 and 5th wheel hitch prep, but that would have been an extra $3500, and I have no plans to tow a 5th wheel, but if years down the road I decide to get into a big 5th wheel, I’ll be kicking myself.
The payload finished at #2664. With my camp trailer on the tongue, wheeler in the bed, gear, and 3 passengers, I’ll still be below payload, and with the extra rear leaf springs from the camper package, it won’t squat as bad as a standard F250 when overloaded.
