We are headed to Colorado on the 10th with 2 private land cow tags. We are set to hunt my buddies place but the weather has been so warm he is not seeing anything yet. If anyone knows of a private land owner holding elk in unit 20 that takes a fee to grant access please send a PM.

Did you have any luck finding access? I have a Unit 20 bull tag currently ongoing. Didn’t realize all Forrest service roads would be closed this time of year. I would appreciate any information you may have.

Sorry I have not had any messages here. I do know the weather has changed so hopefully the critters move down before I get there.

Maybe Scott Limmer has some trespass fee properties:

Well good luck I’m heading back out tomorrow so I’m hoping the little bit of snow and cold weather has helped at least get them moving around a little bit.

Isnt this like a 7-8 point tag?

Not a bad idea.

I burned 9 points. Wish I would have done more research into the access this time of year.

One of the best units in the state with that tag if you have access. Bulls in that are as good or better than the NW corner and that’s a fact.

Limmer would be an option but I think he’s out of the game these days which may be even better.

A guy can get access - a friend of mine gives access so I hooked up another buddy with him.

But the bulls are small and busted up on his place. My buddy will probably go and plug one when it gets down to the wire as he’s been struggling to get one a good one up higher.

Not a car but got beat down by some of the Mac trucks in the park no doubt…

How much are you willing to spend. Buddy of mine has a sizeable chunk, his BIL has a bull tag right now, but if he is holding cows he may let you pop one…

I’m doing a little project in SW Loveland today.

I got greeted when I arrived with more in the backyard

There are a couple Facebook groups that track the "Elk of Loveland". Might be discouraging to see big ol' bulls in backyards you can't hunt.

Did your buddy end up getting one? Also what would you buddy charge for a trespass fee? I’m striking out

I got home late last night empty handed. I was given permission in several places in addition to my friends place and elk were everywhere but not where I needed them to be during legal light. I had the most bizarre opportunity but I passed on the easiest shot ever. I was on A 40 acre parcel with a gas station behind me, and busy road to my left with people taking pictures and houses and out buildings everywhere else. There was even a law enforcement officer parked on the parcel since there were so many elk.

We did end up with a cow that took an arrow to the gut and a property owner contacted us the morning it died. CPW issued a permit for it so we packed it out. If you are missing an arrow CPW has it :)
