Ugh... they didn't put the 0.68" taperless in the sale. Maybe if enough people message them, they will add it. I was going to buy a 22CM and a 6CM barrel.

I asked and they'll do the sale for .68 prefits under 20".That seems weird I'll ask
Nice. My 24in.680 taperless 6cm with flutes threaded 9/16 came in at 2lbs 10oz fwiwI asked and they'll do the sale for .68 prefits under 20".
looks like ~3.5-5oz saved depending on 16-20" length if I estimated right?I asked and they'll do the sale for .68 prefits under 20".

I was gonna go .75" with 5/8-24 threads but now I'm pondering the .68 with 1/2-28 and use an adapter when needed for 5/8-24...
I can certainly see that (and feel it'll be stiffer), it just costs an extra $150 vs the smaller diameter barrel.I talked with them about these contours and we decided that fluted .75 will be very similar in weight to nonfluted .68 in short barrels (16” or 18”).

Hm I wonder whyI asked about the .680 this morning too and they said they’re not fluting them anymore.
Do you have to call in for that or were they planning to update the options?I asked and they'll do the sale for .68 prefits under 20".

I could see that. Happy with mine though. Although the seamless tread adapter on the 750 taperless when threaded 5/8 is rly cleanI didn’t totally understand the explanation but seemed they’ve had to trash a lot barrels because it’s hard to get it to look good with that diameter.
Will pierce make a prefit out of that blank?Ryan Pierce has benchmark carbon barrels on sale right now not sure what he has left. $825 marked down to $725

Last time I spoke to Ryan, which was a month or two ago, he said he was staying away from prefits.
I suppose I could. What does he charge to fit a barrel to an action?Last time I spoke to Ryan, which was a month or two ago, he said he was staying away from prefits.
Can't just send the action in?
Its included in the chambering cost, atleast its always been that way with all the smiths I've used. Give him a call and talk to him about what your after.I suppose I could. What does he charge to fit a barrel to an action?
