Any advice for career burnout? Can’t think of a new interest to pursue?

Is there a legal reason you cannot relocate until the kids are out? If no legal reason, I say relocate. The kids will adjust.
No legal reason, just a medical reason. Good chance that could clear by the end of the year which would make relocation a possibility again.

Sorry to hear that as medical issues can take a lot of energy.

Thanks I appreciate that. It’s actually my oldest, she’s working through anxiety and doing great, just not through it yet. It peaked about 4 years ago and would probably be a non issue if it wasn’t for setbacks during the pandemic.

I was in the same boat a few years back. High cost of living area, high stress job with long hours. Pay was good but that's it. We sold our house, moved 3 hours away, paid cash for a house, and now I work a low stress job that pays decent and I'm able to spend lots of time at home with the family. So glad we made that change.
It took a couple years to figure we're to move and how to make it happen but it was well worth it.

That is rough. Learning to deal with anxiety takes time and effort. I also understand not wanting to add the stress of a move on her. My wife stared having bad anxiety during her first pregnancy 5 years ago. Several other things piles on (medically complicated pregnancy, death of her brother, Etc). Despite counseling and lots of work an SSRI was needed to get her functional again. It is only now (about 4 years after starting it) that she is ready to deescalate dosing and hopefully get off of it. The meds did not fix it, but bought space so she could retrain her cognitive patterns.
