Ambient 75 vs 100?

Active as in walking/hiking:

The 75A can be worn to about 55 degree with light base. I’d say for me it’s 36-55degree range when moderate walking

The 100A about 45 degrees with light base. Again for me I’d say this is more of a 28-45 degree moderate walking

If heavy hiking/walking both are probably coming off if wind is a non factor

I have hoodie version of both, wish they both had kangaroo pocket

As mentioned above, depends on what kind of temps you're expecting. Both perform well.

I'm usually packing the lighter one earlier in the season, when the high temps start dropping into the mid 20's, I'll usually switch over to the 100.

First response nailed it, Sitka core or first lite merino gets me down to 15-20 hiking with the 75, I had the 200 and sold it, just didn't make sense with all the other options, wife loves hers but she runs cold...

My 100 almost never gets used and I just got a second 75 last week...... I LOVE IT

no bad remarks about either... I hate quarter zips BUT i love the hood and fit so much that I am willing to deal with the 75, also side note. It has replaced a fleece for me just due to the option, it breathes better and is close to the same weight as my favorite fleece.

Hmmm…so as a “semi outer layer” that is also often a midlayer, sounds like the 75 could work well for me.
How is the fit? Especially with a pullover I suppose fit could be a bit more critical. I’d be choosing between a L/T and an XL. 6’4”, not quite 200lb, and the body of a washed-up former athlete. 😁 Sitka size chart says Im a L/T…any feedback from tall skinny folks?

I'm 195 and 2 inches shorter than you. The xl fits fine. An extra 1 inch on the sleeves would be better.

I wear xl, but I’m 6’ 230

It’s stretchy, remember it’s a hybrid. Think of it like a ambient 100 and fanatic/heavy weight fleece had a child
