X2 on Tusx. 95 degrees in Cali and the hip zips on the pants plus the vents on the shirt are awesome. Relatively inexpensive and good dry season camo too.

Kuhl renegades for me this year. I love them so far. My buddy is wearing prana and is very happy with them. Prana doesnt make a 32x34 for me.

Those Kuhl renegades seem nice. Not expensive. I have first lite kanab and loved them last year. I did manage to get a pair of attacks but I might get those Kuhl as well

My clothing gear is a mixed bag of Core4, Sitka, Smartwool, IceBreaker and others... over the years, I've eliminated much that doesn't work.

For Pants, I've tried several-- suggest you consider the Fjallraven Keb Gaiter pants:

Fabric- Tough, reinforced fabric on the seat, thigh front and lower leg. They rest of the material has stretch capability so you can stride as long as you need to when climbing. Multiple muted green, great, etc. colors available. For elk hunting, I personally don't believe that camo pants are critical.

Gaiters- Built in gaiters! The lower leg portions convert into excellent gaiters. You can wax the fabric to make it waterproof if you like. They have special wax for this, but I used left over wax from Barbour and wiped it in while heating it with a blow drier. Worked GREAT in wet, high weeds and grass inn the mountains.

Vents- Zippered Outside Thigh Vents, plus the lower legs zip off above the knee. When you get hot climbing, vent the sides and unzip the lower leg portion. If you're really hot, unzip the fly, too ;-)

My brother and I hunted hard in these for two weeks straight early archery season hunting Colorado at 9.5-12k ft elevation (only took them off to sleep or wash the shorts portion. Hard climbing every day of our hunt and I never overheated. My bro is former military with extensive backcountry experience. These are serious mountaineering pants, the best pants either of us have used. You can get them from MooseJaw, BackCountry or even off of Fjallraven's site. Prices are pretty similar... actually pricing is pretty good at manufacturer's site right now.
