There were high points, and low points. I was excited, the guide and cook were tops, did everything possible, but the bulls weren't there. I'm trying to stay upbeat about my one and only chance to hunt moose, but the longer I think of the chaos from the lack of management is weighing heavy on me. I left a comment to someone on another thread listing many issues. Even the meat processor I questioned when I picked my meat up. I got home and weighed my meat. 7 pounds of backstrap, 7 pounds? I put down to do the hind in all roasts, and front all ground yet I got 25 pounds more ground than roasts. My guide filleted the ribs which should be close to 10 pounds per side. I asked to them cut in half giving me 4 packages of around 5 pounds. Instead I got 2 packages 4 pounds total. I wrote 2 tenderloins, one per package. I got 10 little pieces instead. All added up 187 pounds, the processor said 214 according to the sheet, the guide and I agreed in camp that it was easily 250-260ish. You can read my lengthy comment of the lack of organization on the other thread. It's a shame considering the guide and hostess were absolutely fantastic.
