All new Burris Fullfield 2025

Just curious, but what rings are those?
I honestly don’t remember the brand and don’t have quick access to it as I’m in the middle of a move right now. Picked them up at sportsman’s warehouse with the gun about 13 years ago. They’re heavy though so I’d probably go for the DNZ game reapers if i had the choice now.

Any updates on how these are working for people? Always had good luck with my Burris scopes.

I have a Ruger American 308 I haven't shot in 10 years. I've drug it all over the country moving a few times, its rode in trucks and trailers in those times.
I got it out recently to just see where it was shooting, fully expecting the cheap Burris Fullfield II to have lost zero along the way.
Bullseye, not even off in the slightest. I was very impressed.

DNZ Game Reaper! >>>----> EXCELLENT DURABILITY!

In the slip-and-fall crossing a creek, where I fell toward an embedded stone on the bank... that shattered my left wrist requiring a plate and 13 screws to fixate... on the Marlin 336 BL .30-30, the Weaver Classic 1-3x20mm scope.. it bent the lip of the scope, and a few other scratch marks. But when I healed up and took her out to check zero? STILL ZEROED! And took my best buck so far with that following season!

I have the 2-8×35 on a Remington Model Seven with Talley lightweights in medium height. Its snug length wise, but it works. Medium is just about perfect for my cheek weld on a H-S Precision stock.1000001624.jpg

Burris Fullfield were the Scope of Choices as some including myself can't spend more than 250.00 on a Scope that is maybe used 10 or 12 days a Year. I have the Original Fullfield that has the locking set up as well as the second Version on my 2 .06's and they Do the Job and not felt the need to spend a lot when these are doing the Job! But these days it has to be changed to make some think the latest is better. Sad but that is the marketing these days when the Fullfield was a Great Scope for the $! Never need any kind of illumination for that matter just more gadgets like the Turrets Set It and Done playing with it afield will be bad if you Over Adjust!!! But Some think otherwise.
Wish they would have a Fullfield 2.5 x 10 x 44 to gather more light... But that won't happen as it hasn't it!

I actually picked up the 2.5-10x42 w/ illumination recently in anticipation of another rifle purchase.

It was only sumpin like 16oz I think, so not too bad.

I have the 2-8x35 with the K3 reticle that I have grown to really like on my marlin 45-70 and it’s held up great so far and works well on the Talley mounts.

Thanks for the INFO!

Just an fyi but I got a email from midway today and they have this one on sale for 139 but I cant find the mfg part number 201510 on Burris's website ? But for the price ya may not care lol Burris 2x10x42 the add says it has a wind MOA reticle, and not illuminated, but if you are not dialing and its going on a ML it may work for ya. I was looking for a slug gun scope is how I stumbled on it. Good luck!

Bumping this back up. I’m thinking about trying one of these on my m77 .243. I’d prefer the 2.5-10 but am leaving toward the longer 3-12 to maybe gain a little more room for mounting. Has anybody else tried these and can comment on ring spacing/eye relief? Being a Ruger I can’t move the rings to accommodate different spacing.
I was hoping for another $300 Huron but they’ve jumped up in price quite a bit. I really like the fullfield ii’s I have as well as my veracity. So these have piqued my interest.

I believe the tube length for mounting on the 2-10 vs 3-12 is the exact same. Only difference is the front bell is .3” longer on the 3-12.

Thanks! Any one have issues mounting either of these scopes with fixed ring mounts?

I just mounted a 3-12 on a Browning xbolt 223. I used the leupold backcountry rings, so less flexibility compared to a full Pic rail. I ended up having to spin one of the rings around to shorten up the span between the 2. I could definitely see issues with true fixed rings like ruger. There should be a schematic on burris' website. It should give you some idea of what kind of span you can get away with.

Thanks! Looks like out to out on my rings is 4.5-4.6 inches. Burris measurement says 4.7” tube on the 10x and 4.8 on the 12x. Downs seem like enough wiggle room.

Just because there's room to mount it doesn't mean that you're going to have the proper eye relief for how you shoot the rifle. Those scopes look good, but they're 100% designed for an AR upper picatinny rail or a picatinny rail on bolt action rifles.

Is there any other way than a pic rail for a bolt action rifle? (This is sarcasm, but I am serious)
