Well.... if he can get convicted of something.. anything.. I'd imagine that'd help the civil wrongful death suit afterwards, right? So hopefully this is an instance where the DA is trying to be a team-player and at least get him booked on something, to give ammo to the families for their civil suit perhaps.

I'd imagine the gold mine (if you are anti-Baldwin) would be bond conditions pre-trial, and probation conditions. Assuming there's a no alcohol/drugs stipulation and he follows the same testing procedures as any other person.

I just want them to make sure it stings like hell for this bass turd as payback for his unscrupulous and wreckless caricature of Trump during those years.

You damn right. And if one of those nerks kills someone, ain't gonna be Cabelas going to court 😉
I disagree. If the clerk handed a gun to some random person with no firearms knowledge , the clerk failed to ensure it was empty, and then that person looking it over sights down the aisle at something and pulls the trigger and goes through the particle board merchandise rack and accidentally killed someone, It absolutely would be the clerk in legal trouble as they are the authority figure in that situation, not the random person.

Now, for gun owners like us, It would be common sense that you should also check the chamber and so MAYBE prosecutors could successfully argue that we were also negligent based on our knowledge of firearms and FOR US failing to verify an empty gun would be negligent. However, if the random person had little to no experience handling firearms, then there is no such thing as "common knowledge" on the subject for them because they know nothing about it. They don't even know how much they don't know. Being negligent requires that you have some level of knowledge on a subject that you then willfully ignore. No knowledge, no negligence....So it is the fault of whoever was supposed to be in control of that situation. An armorer on a film set is hired specifically to be in control of ALL the firearms and ammo on scene so that is where the culpability starts. It could reach out from there depending on the details.

I don't know Baldwin's experience or knowledge on firearms, nor do I know anything else about the case so that's all I'll say on that.

By purchasing something with this demonstrated aholes image on it.. without realizing it or not, you're "supporting" him. And by supporting, I mean making him still be a relevant talked about thing/entity. And in his profession, that equates to value, an asset.

STOP making this spineless man have any value. Nothing with his likeness... toss/destroy any products featuring him. Do NOT view ANY works he's been in. Ya gotta make it HURT THEM where they will feel it most. Make their brand be worthless!

Just watched an interview on tonight's news with someone, not sure if it was the prosecutor/DA or someone else from the prosecution side but they said prison is not necessarily the goal.

He gave a sworn statement to law enforcement saying he didn’t pull the trigger.

The FBI lab conclusively found the revolver couldn’t be fired without pulling the trigger.

You catch someone lying it would definitely help your case - whatever the charge

And to add to it, it was a single action revolver, Hammer has to be cocked first. He either took an already cocked gun, or he cocked it, which indicates he was getting ready to fire it. Pulling the trigger may have been accidental, but pull the trigger he did.

^ right

Also it appears the civil wrongful death case has already been settled with the Hutchens family- last October; undisclosed amount

BUT Baldwin is suing the armorer and armorer crew

I just now read the report of that undisclosed settlement.

There is video evidence showing online of Baldwin with his finger on the trigger of the revolver just prior to accidental shooting.

Best and most safe way to assure no one gets accidentally shot in any situation is to hold the person pointing the firearm and pulling the trigger accountable. Hollywood shouldn't get a pass on this. If it was someones job other than the actor to see that the firearm was not loaded then they are accountable as well. When a real firearm is used , regardless of the reason , all safety and responsibility associated with handling them is in play. I don't really care nor think it is relevant how its usually done in the movie industry. I don't know Mr Baldwin personally but his testament that he never pulled the trigger is complete BS and a severe blemish on his credibility. Evidently he thinks everyone is stupid.
I feel involuntary manslaughter is the appropriate charge.

I mean duh, they were filming a movie so maybe you can see it. Those self firing revolvers cost more money.
