sheep hunting for the last five years with no success. Drew this tag and hoping it will be the year I get the skunk of my back.. I’ve been reading and researching all day and. I will not let this tag become soup.. I will be walking in and know it can be a long walk. Any information would be greatly appreciated..

Hopefully we have an early spring. Snow loads have been bad this year…

You are not lying tons of snow here in anchorage this year too…

It wasn’t a big snow year in Fairbanks, I’m not sure how much the central Alaska Range got but Fairbanks conditions have my hopes high for the sheep in that area.

Snow has been minimal in DCUA and recent high winds have blown the ridges bare but the sheep population is dismal.

Lots of snow down in anchorage I’ve been Shovling roofs thinking of those sheep…

Hope the warm weather we had last week doesn’t freeze all their food to the side of the mountain…

I would contact the biologist about where you might find sheep in that country. Usually they have a good pulse on them ( at least the biologists in the lower 48 I’ve talked to have helped me out) that’s the first place I’d start.

Very coveted tag. Did you have any luck? I heard weather was trash during the first part of the DCU Sheep Hunt.
