Your photos confirm to me that I'll be counting brow tines next fall. I was close on a couple and way off on several. Do you find the Ear to Ear tip method to be reliable at all? (roughly 30" ear tip to ear tip)

I don't use the ear method, I mainly rely on 10" across the eyes, its been pretty spot on over the years. If you are gonna go with tine counting just to be safe, make sure you know what a 'valley tine' is.Your photos confirm to me that I'll be counting brow tines next fall. Easy calculations! We tested it out on a set of horns we cut out on our waterjet and at all distances the reticle never failed to give me an accurate reading!
We went from 100 yds all the way out to 700.

Best of luck and I would enjoy hearing a report when you get back...whether you kill one or not. Thanks for all the pictures. I'm headed up next week in a 50 inch area. I have very little experience at this so am naturally concerned. The scariest picture to me is the one with #1 & #6 side by side. Yeah, I can see the difference when you put them side by side but it really shows how small of a difference 7" really is. I can only imagine how tough it might be to make that call in the heat of the moment.
Personally, I'm really hoping 4 brows make it easy for me. If not it's going to be tough to drop the string on anything but a true monster.
KC, talk to you when you get back.Where do you live?

Go through the regs and draw supplement again. There are several OTC and draw areas for a non resident any bull permit. Some very good tags included.I haven't found a Gmu that allows a Non res a "ANY BULL"? All I see are 4brow 50".
