The deadline to apply for Alaska moose was yesterday - anyone apply?
I was going to apply again, but it just didnt work out for next year.

I applied for 6 tags (5 any bull and one cow. All resident only) all within 70 miles of my house. I will also get an over the counter normal bull with antler restrictions tag😁

I did t put in for the moose draw, there’s excellent moose hunting for residents right where I live and even more so if you have a boat. No need to travel to get moose. I did put in the draw for sheep, goat and elk though.

I love living in an area where residents can get any antlered bull.

I applied for the any bull in my normal hunting area (unit 13). Plus Friday creek sheep, Delta bison, Afognak elk and unit 13 caribou. Considering the lifetime hunt/fish license I have, it’s a good yearly donation to ADF&G. Good luck to everyone on their draws!

I put in for the Richardson Base Archery moose hunt. I have heard good things about that hunt. If I don’t get it my buddy has family up in Kake so we will probably go up there next year and try for a moose on a registration hunt. The locals there can be ... hostile if you are not from there I have heard. Luckily my buddy is native and has family up there.

I applied for an any bull tag that covers our hunt area already. We can hunt spike, greater than 50” or 3 browtines as well. Just wanted to make it easier for myself.

All villages have a few jerks, but my experience in Kake was overall a friendly one. The grumpiest people I met there were the old white dudes, which seems to be an AK village trend.

I put in for Valley antlerless. Have cows in the backyard at least once a week, it would be nice to stick one! This will be year 7 applying full points for all species. I expect my 7th year in a row of 100% donation.....
