Thanks for posting this up Larry. Apparently we’ve had about 2.5 million acres burn so far this season, and we’re on pace to break our record for most acreage in known history.

Southcentral and the copper river valley are doing pretty good, smoke wise. Just about everywhere else is just smoke.

Over 13,000 lightening strikes today. I think the majority was wet cells as opposed to dry ones.

For those using Gaia GPS, the smoke forecast/wildfires overlays are showing smoke over wide areas:

Fire is good. I hope people are able to protect any property if they live or own cabins in affected areas, but small fires now means less catastrophic fires next year, or 5 years from now. Most of south-central is supposed to get decent rain in the next 10 days to put some of these out
