Doc,
I couldn't find a pic of the Geezer Ridge toilet but it's the same as my trout camp toilet. I take two totes of food along.........eat the food....nest one tote inside the other and spray foam between as a bonding and stiffening agent. These have been in use for a decade.

Looks like it could easily double as a shooting blind...well, not easily...bad idea, never mind.

I take two 1st aid type kits. One that stays in camp for ailments and one that i carry for in field emergencies.. emergency kits, imho should be a little overkill.. items i carry in field are pictured: please add suggestions

One other item would be Benadryl antihistamine for bee stings or other allergic reactions. Once field dressed a deer that had been in poison sumac. Not a lot of fun.

Is he 50? Saw this bull a couple days ago. Saw around 15 bulls in this valley and 14 of them were legal bulls

Pic is fuzzy as you know but that bull looks closer to 70" with little palmation. I have a video of a similar one that I caught napping but I let him go. For some reason I assumed he was really old.

We will ship-out our gear from ANC to BET in a few weeks...fingers crossed! I'm starting to feel some coolness in the nite air here...but it just might be all in my head because I do get extra excited this time of year for my planned hunting adventures.

Guys I am new here and I really appreciate this thread. I have plans to fly on 1 Sep and hunt with my cousin. Most of the items in the pics I already have or my cousin has covered. This will be my first trip to Alaska and I can't wait. I just hope COVID doesn't screw things up for me.

I just made some of those last night. My 11 yo daughter wanted to try them out so we did. Worked like a charm!

Headed into the bush on the 3rd.

In case anyone is researching something similar, I shipped two 50lb boxes of food and gear to Fairbanks last week. It cost about $140 for each (USPS Priority Mail). Delivery took 4 business days. It's nice knowing most of my stuff is already there, and that I won't have to drag it through the airports.
