Airlock Zero Gravity 30

Just to confirm. Was this a Nomad XC Ti or XC LTi? You had originally said you were going to test a LTi. Also, was the test with the nomad shooting .308?
Before I arrived, my friend had told me it was a Nomad LTi, but it turned out to be just a Nomad Ti.

Maybe I’m wrong but I assumed the original Nomad LTi (the welded baffle version) not the XC.

ETA: Too slow but I was partly correct 🤣

tbac has commented on the sample rate of the larson davis 821 meter not being high enough to capture the full peaks and valleys. Lower sample rate will result in lower peak readings

LD821 has 48kHz instead of the recommended 192kHz per some obscure spec. They (TBAC) use 262kHz I think for their Silencer Summit data

All that to say, I agree your absolute measured values are probably not comparable to other published numbers by Pewscience or Silencer Summit etc

But that is a widespread issue on this topic and I am not nitpicking. Your results of side by side can testing should still stand for themselves--I preordered a 6.5 can sight unseen

Hes probably making what makes most financial sense. As far as rifle cans go, I would bet 90% sold from any company is 30 cal and below

Danny posted some ZG 30 testing videos on Airlock's instagram page last night. It was impresive to say the least.
I did a one-take metering session last night comparing a Harvester Evo and a Rugged 360. Tested 300 Win, 7 PRC, .308, and 6.5 CM. It wasn’t super in-depth since I was short on time, but I ran as much back-to-back testing as I could before it got dark on me. If people are interested, I can throw it together as a YouTube video and upload it.

Below is an update on the sound testing we’ve conducted. The table includes the dates and groups we tested. Several of these groups were recorded at different times of day on the same day to help us capture the most accurate and representative average dB(A) measurements.

1/17/25
Shots: 126.0, 124.2, 121.2
Daily Average: 124.2 dB(a)

1/23/26

Group 1: 125.1, 121.9, 123.4
Group 2: 127.8, 123.7, 123.8
Group 3: 124.6, 123.6, 124.4
Group 4: 124.5, 124.0, 125.4
Daily Average: 124.6 dB(a)

1/24/26

Group 1: 128.7, 124.5, 123.2
Group 2: 128.9, 125.3, 124.7
Group 3: 128.1, 126.4, 127.4
Group 4: 127.2, 128.1, 126.9
Daily Average: 126.9 dB(a)

1/27/25

Group 1: 127.3, 125.5, 125.5
Group 2: 128.1, 127.7, 127.1
Group 3: 126.2, 126.4, 124.1
Group 4: 125.2, 123.0, 125.9
Daily Average: 126.3 dB(a)

2/1/26

Group 1: 126.3, 127.1, 125.2
Group 2: 128.4, 125.4, 126.1
Group 3: 129.0, 127.7, 127.6
Daily Average: 127.1 dB(a)

2/2/26

Group 1: 126.0, 127.8, 126.4
Group 2: 126.3, 129.2, 126.7
Group 3: 128.3, 125.8, 126.8
Daily Average: 127.2 dB(a)

Note:
All testing was completed on a 20" .308 using M80 149gr rounds. We recognize that M118 is the industry standard, so we will source that and verify that the dB numbers are consistent. Based on current data, we do not anticipate significant differences.

Currently daily average is 126.08 dB(a) with the highest daily average only being 127.2 dB(a).

@AirlockIndustries Is there a chance you could do some basic db testing & provide results of your various models & how they perform on 22 cal. Preferably 22 Creedmoor. I know you have a dedicated Nano model, but I’d be interested how the other units compare. 6.5, 7, & 30.
Thx.

@AirlockIndustries so many threads, so many questions answered.

Any chance the next generation will have a threaded end to accept a brake for increased recoil reduction or a cap for increased suppression and size reduction?

@43.6N next pre-order will open on either 2/16 or 2/21. Open to feedback which people prefer.

@JefeRey the 30 will be available on the next pre-order.

@Huntnpack 2 I can try to do that sometime soon.

@Ucsdryder we are working on a braked suppressor but it will be integrated.
Keep up the good work! Excited for what you have coming.

Regarding the braked suppressor, is it possible to have a hybrid that can go integrated vs removable? I can see value in both, depending on situation, and having the ability to go back and forth vs having 2 cans would be awesome!
