Air Lock Industries Suppressor

@Hurley88 since you have both the OG and the OG65, is there a big difference between those 2? I have the OG and am waiting on the OG65. I am not impressed with the OG at all. I will sell it as soon as I can. "Hearing safe" isn't what I thought it was. That can is flat out loud to me.

The OG 6.5 is what the OG should have been. The OG, as designed, just isn’t good enough in the suppression department. I don’t think they misrepresented the suppression rating, I just don’t think they aimed high enough. As I understand the design process, they got what they thought was “enough suppression” and then focused on other things.

I am not going to sell my OG, because it works well enough for me on my 21” .270 or if I ever get another 22-24” .30 caliber hunting rifle. But the OG 6.5 is a legitimately good suppressor.

Edit - and I also own the ZG 6.5 and give it the slight edge over the OG 6.5 for anyone who only wants to own one .264 caliber hunting can. But to me it’s like a 51-49 vote.

ID-Muley is right, you won’t regret the OG65. It’s much closer to the Airlock than it is to the OG30.

One of my buds who was there for a few of the impromptu tests said that they (the two 6.5 cans) were “essentially the same darn thing, just one is OTB”.

Current status update:
  • We currently have all Black Friday Nanos and all non–backordered 6.5s in hand.
  • We are waiting on additional CNC tooling and final setup, which is scheduled for Tuesday, January 13th. Once this is completed, we will begin post-machining next week.
  • Our 7s are scheduled to be printed next week, after which we will begin printing the backordered 6.5s.
  • The Black Friday backorders, which were originally scheduled for March, are now being printed this month and are expected to ship in February.
  • The March/April orders (1/1/28 Pre Order) are scheduled for February printing, which means we should be able to fulfill all of those orders in March.
With this in mind, we plan to keep a April pre-order window, but we may delay releasing additional pre-order details by a few weeks. This allows us to continue scaling production, evaluate fulfillment speed, and ensure we can support increased volume before opening additional pre-orders.

@AirlockIndustries Thank you for the update and transparency. With this timeline, is it anticipated that Black Friday 6.5s will begin shipping near the end of January?
If everything stays on track and we get the CNC up and running on the 13th, we’ll be doing post-machining on the 14th–15th. That should put us in a position to start shipping Nanos and 6.5s the week of the 19th.

We’re also working through our FFL list now to gather current FFL and SOT copies. That way, once units are finished, we can submit Form 3s right away and get them moving without any unnecessary delays.

We’ll try to post more production and shipping updates here as we have them. Thank you all for the support and orders, it’s genuinely very appreciated. We’re looking forward to getting suppressors out to each of you as soon as possible and hearing your feedback!
