So, this is where we can be thankful for modern Medicine and, if you are fortunate, good health insurance. My wife has run out of spare parts. She has had a tonsillectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal), small bowel blockage that required surgery, lumpectomy (breast cancer), skin cancer mole removal, full hysterectomy, and a knee replacement. She has to, daily, drink a horrible concoction to control diarrhea associated with the gallbladder surgery. That said, we both feel blessed that she could get through all that and still have high quality life in our senior years.
Getting older can suck, but it sure beats the alternative.
