AB Raptor 8

Many posts on the AB raptor 8 if you use the search function. I have a 6.5 manbun with an AB a-10 so a 7 baffle. It sounds great and helps protects your ears. The 8 baffle in titanium I was looking at but they were harder to come by at the time. If you want the can get it on back order as they are popular. I would have no reservations buying another AB can such as the raptor to save weight. Best of luck on your future purchase.

Is the AB Raptor 8 a good choice for an 18” barrel 6.5 PRC?
I used mine on a 20” 300 WSM for a few years until I sold the gun. AB’s recommendation for 30 cal magnums is a 22” barrel, but it held up fine with the WSM. I would be pretty confident with one on an 18” 6.5 PRC. At least way more than with a Scythe. You might reach out to AB and ask them.

I have been happy with my AB cans. I have a A-10 that I run on a 6 arc and a 10 stack raptor that is used for all my 35 cal rifles. Wouldn’t mind adding an 8 stack raptor to the fleet to be a little lighter, but the 10’s are 1 oz or so heavier. Not a big difference for me as I don’t have that far to hike.

AB has been great when I asked about barrel length restrictions. They will get into more detail on the phone than the manual.
