A little Blaser love. My take on RSS.

I really wished I got a Jaeger or at least didn't cheap out and got the Kilombero instead for my African combo. Sometimes the grade 7 wood would look like 10.

Thank you for the replies, both of you.

The one final obstacle (potentially) is getting short barrels as well as a barrel that’s threaded. Man, Blaser charged one hell of a premium for threaded and fluted barrels etc. I have no doubt they are good so it’s not so much the price, it’s obtainability.

I found Akila, who make a barrel block so that my usual gunsmith could make, say, an 18 inch 25 creed barrel for me etc using a top tier cut rifle from any manufacturer I prefer.

I’m going to order this Akilabear8 block. The process is a little wonky because they are in Slovenia. If it works out, I’m pulling the trigger.

Thanks again!
Evolved ballistics is using the Akila barrel block with proof barrel. Can get any caliber, length, thread you want all in on place.

I have also had good experience with j sipp barrels.

That is extremely helpful to know, thank you!

I have had barrels threaded by a couple of different guys. Hands down, this was the best (and by far the least expensive:
