88's in 22 ARC 16" barrel

Well my initial hope was to match 223 velocities from 20 inch AR's with a 16 " 22 ARC. I chose a Faxon 16" with rifle length gas which is accurate and reliable. The problem being my chrony is a Magnetospeed sporter and between the gas block and the brake, and the brake removed it just isn't satisfactory for checking velocities. My purpose with the 88 ELDM is the same as just about any truck rifle. Targets of opportunity and feral hogs. The latter usually running and all shot angles taken. Hoped for around 2600 fps . Anyone have any 88 gr. 22 ARC loads that give 2550-2600 fps out of a 16" barrel?

Following. I would like a ULUL 16” 22 ARC to run 2750 or so. I forget the thread name but several members were being good speed from KAK barrels recently

Yes should be plenty doable. Not sure if you’re reloading or not but I took my 20” over 2800 fps with 90 gr ATips and 85.5 Bergers.

Wow, if anyone reads this and thinks loading a 22 arc gas gun at 2800 fps with 90 grain bullets is safe, it's 100% not safe, a 20" barrel is at max pressure with a 90 grain bullet at about 2675 fps with the fastest powders like leverevolution.

62 gr. factory loads shot poorly, the 75 gr. ELDM shot nicely in my barrel.

Whatever factory loads give in a 16" barrel. At the time a lot of people were saying the 62 grain factory loads shot poorly.

Seems like they should be going 2550-2650.

62 eld vt factory in a 16” Faxon that wasn’t fast were 3045-3050.
80 eldx 2620 same 16” Faxon.
88 ELDM about 2500.
Don’t think I tried 75s in that barrel.

16” KAK I have in the classifieds.
75 ELDM 2820-2850
62 ELD VT 3010-3050
88 ELDM 2550
80 eldx 2720
