Hoping for some recommendations on 2 things.

I am currently running a Leupold vx5 second focal plane windplex. 3-15x44mm. Current max range I am comfortable shooting game with good conditions is 500, hoping to continue to push my effective range out over the next couple years to 750-800yds.

i currently dial for elevation and hold for wind with the windplex but i do not like having to be max zoom for MOA to be accurate. Hoping for recommendations on a scope that would have a clean reticle for windage but not seem cluttered like Christmas tree type reticle., i want to continue to dial elevation and hold wind if possible.

Second item, max zoom of 15 is fine with white/orange steel plates in the open but i could see some advantages to have more power magnification. if i up the top end zoom with a FFP scope i am afraid my reticle will be too small to be usable on low magnification. Should i stick with a top end of 15-18x? or look to a 24/25x power top end?

thanks,

A maven RS1.2 2.5-15x44 mil would be a great option. That's what I switched my vx5s to. Very interested in S2Hunts coming scope but time frame on that is unknown.

I've had leupold, swfa, and NF, now use the ffp trijicon tenmile hx. I turn it to 22x for shooting 600 - 1000 at the range and you can dial it down to whatever you want when hunting. Shot Deer and Elk a cpl weeks ago on 10x.
