By all means tinker away, but for the sake of saving components in the future if you decide to take the shortcut, nodes haven't been proven to exist in a statistically valid manner. The OCW/OBT stuff is typically just random distribution of insignificant samples of shots that all fall within the true cone of fire. In short, the load combo either shoots well, or doesn't.possibly. I love to tinker and I already had a load worked up for another rifle and when I ran the numbers after the fact my load was .2 grains off where the calculator said I should be. Figured I’d try it for my new 7prc. Still running full load development but curious if I’m going to find a node close to where the program is saying I will.
In the past I've done some testing where a standard large rifle primer was much more consistent than a magnum, but anymore I question those results because of my cheaper chronograph. It really takes a big sample size and a very accurate chronograph to get good velocity data. Personally I would take whichever one groups best and test it at distance. I've had a couple different loads that recorded up to 70fps ES and never gave me any issues hitting targets out to 1,000 yards.has anyone noticed a change with ES with 210s and 215s with h1k, with n570 I made the switch to 210s and it cut my ES almost in half I know it’s a h1k thread, I just decided to make the switch back because I wasn’t happy with my groups
3 shot groups?A .065 jump was shooting something like 1.5" groups. the .120 jump was sub 1/2"
5 shot3 shot groups?
So still 50-60% statistical variability in group size. I wouldn't put much faith into those results, if you really want to know the capabilities anyway.5 shot
If you don't mind, what diameter mandrel has been working well for you with the ADG brass?ADG brass ran thru PMA mandrel

I'm certainly interested. I have the same bullets and will be starting load development for my 307 this weekend.168 gr LRX bullet with 72.3 g H1000 10 shot avg 2850 0.75 MOA at 200 yds with SD 14.s 18 inch gunwerks barrel with elite iron suppressor. I need to look up the jump distance if your interested.
I wont be back home until April 29th. I will look that up for you.I'm certainly interested. I have the same bullets and will be starting load development for my 307 this weekend.
I am running the .283’’ mandrelIf you don't mind, what diameter mandrel has been working well for you with the ADG brass?
Sorry It took so long to reply. I was travelling and got home and had to catch up. Anyway, the jump for my Fierce 300 WSM and 165 TSX bullet was .100, measured base to ojive was 2.252 inches. Barnes recommends anywhere from 0.050 to 0.200 inches for jump.I'm certainly interested. I have the same bullets and will be starting load development for my 307 this weekend.
300 WSM?.... I thought you were talking about your 7PRC, since that's what this thread is about.Sorry It took so long to reply. I was travelling and got home and had to catch up. Good luck.
