7mm-08 round for cow elk. Barnes 145gr LRX or 150gr TTSX?

I was in the same boat but ended up going with 140 ttsx and they worked really well. don't think you will have much of an issue just depends on what your rifle will like more

I have seen 2 go down with 140 TTSX. Both were quick and humane.

We have personally used 140 Accubonds on 3 cows and all performed perfectly.

My wife has taken 2 elk with her 7mm-08. One with Hornady Superformance 139 SST and on with Hornady Whitetail 139 Interlock. SST was 330 yards broadside cow and Interlock was ~80 yards in the neck on a bedded cow. Both elk were taken without issue. She is now shooting a 120 TTSX because the barrel decided it was no longer happy with previous ammo as the Superformance caused terrible powder fowling issues. The 7mm-08 is an excellent gun for shots at under 1/4 mile.
