Waiting on my new weatherby 307 alpine ct chambered in 7prc. I am stuck between which way I want to go with bullets to reload with.

In .308 I’m a big fan of the Barnes LRX in 175gr and the TTSX in 168gr. I like the consistency that comes with knowing if I stick to ranges that keep me at 1800-2000fps terminal velocity, I know what the bullet is going to do. I’m also a fan of not risking eating lead due to some health issues I have.

Like many others I’m excited about the ballistics behind 7prc and the longer higher BC bullets it supports.

Am I shorting my 7prc experience by running the 160gr Barnes LRX with the .608 BC? Anyone kill anything with this bullet in this caliber? Have any opinions?

You’ll be just fine with it. Gf got both these at 350 with 140grain ttsx in 7 mag.
