Great shooting. The Garmin is absolutely worth it.Loaded up 20 with 46.5 of SB 6.5 and fired 15 this morning on the backyard range. The SD and ES weren't great, but the group was excellent. Thanks to all the folks on here that have helped me remedy process issues at the bench. I was only planning to shoot 12, but the Magneto Sport captured a 300 and a 3800 that I excluded from the sample. Can't wait to get a Garmin...

Not saying you’re wrong about the high pressure based on the velocities but GRT doesn’t have great calibration on Staball 6.5. Hodgdon lists 59,000 for 47.8grFYI.... I plugged your numbers into GRT and your pressures exceed SAAMI to the tune of +16000 psi on the top end and +5000 on the bottom charge. I wouldn't expect very good brass life at those charges. Probably also be a smart idea to keep an eye on your bolt lugs and check your headspace from time to time... at least to keep something Bad from sneaking up on you. Also, I have assume this is a standard 7-08 Rem. and not an Ackley Imp. since I didn't see that posted anywhere unless I missed it. If an AI version, you can lower those pressures by 6000 to 5000 psi.
Also, that grt screenshot is at 2.8 coal which is showing 108% load ratio. What does it say when you punch it in at 2.9 coal? I’m not at my computer or I’d plug it in.FYI.... I'm not familiar with GRT, and thank you for the information. Do these calculations take into account COL? The SAAMI max COL for the 7-08 is 2.800". The Hodgdon reloading max load information for the 162 ELDM and 7-08 is below at 2.875" COL.FYI.... Good catch on the twist rate! According to Tikka page the factory T3x lite in 7-08 is 1:9.What twist are you running? The data you are showing is for 1:9.5 twist... as the twist rate gets faster the pressures increase, as in 1:7 twist. Now please don't take my numbers as gospel, because GRT like QL both are just estimations and only as good as the information inputted into the program. Numbers will vary as the inputted data is changed and all barrels are different. Tighter bores increase pressure, as in .218 vs .219. Your mileage may vary!
Thank you, and I apprecaite the numbers. I'm using Alpha OCD as my primary and my secondary is necked down Federal Gold Medal .308. Obviously I don't mix and match when loading. I don't have the water weights of either.With your 46.5 charge this shows you are at around 62000 psi. But, again I don't have all of your particulars. What brand brass are you using? Do you know the water weight of one of you fired cases? That makes a difference in the results. There is something obviously different in the input data because the velocity shows to be lower than what you actually recorded. Something that is important to me is load ratio and burnt propellant %. Ideally I want 100% burn with a load density ratio of 94 to 98%. If that ratio get too low and you have a lot of space in the case, you get an inconsistent burn form shot to shot, so there goes your accuracy. There's a lot of debate as to the effect unburnt powder has on the bullet as it leaves the barrel. If you look at the gas flow velocity vs bullet velocity and you have unburnt powder pushing that bullet, I believe those little particles peppering the base of the bullet can't help with accuracy. Can't prove it, other than observation. Just my way of thinking. You may give some thought to downloading Gordan's Reloading Tool, It's free. Fun to play with, a little learning curve, but there's help available online.
