Knock yourself out. However you might want to look into who those studies were done by. They are far from non-biased medical research, and they have an agenda.


As for Raptors- all the work to eliminate lead in hunting inbtbe SW, which has worked.... the lead levels are still elevated and they are still dying. It is politically motivated.

The 7mm-08/120TTSX combination has become my standard elk load. I handload, and using RL-15 the load chronos at 3020 fps at the muzzle and gives me right at 1" for a 3 shot group at 100 yards.

I've lost count of the total number of kills with this combination but it includes at least two branch antlered bulls and a generous handful of cows. Shots have ranged from 75-ish yards up to a lasered 324. Penetration and performance have been stellar, and most have been one shot kills. No complaints and no plan to change anything

CFE 223 took me up to an easy 3100 fps. with 120 TTSX's out of my 20" 7mm-08 Shaw barrel. Supremely accurate too. That's a hard combo to question now with all the impressive field reports it has behind it.

Sorry, didn't see this until just now. It's a completely stock early 2000s Rem 700 Ti, 22" barrel.
