The DBM I bought here was for CIP length mags - I didn’t realize it.
At Basspro yesterday to let my daughter get terrified by Santa, and picked up a Magpul long action bottom plastic and 5 round long action plastic single stack for 30-06.
Put the action in the phoenix and the magpul setup. It’s chincy crap and you can’t tighten it and the mag is loud as hell. But, it cycled 6cm rounds just fine over and over with no issue. Still no barrel on, but it sent them up the feed ramp and through the front of action just fine.
I bought the MDT 3 round CIP length polymer mag to test. Assuming that works the same, I’m in business. I expect it will. Will return the magpul setup as it was just a test.
I think this will be the ticket. If I want to get squirrelly I can modify follower and stick a spacer block in the mag to keep cartridges stacked neatly and make sure they feed same every time.
