7 PRC With Lighter Bullets?

Hello,
I have been handloading 7 PRC for about six months using Berger, Hornady, and Nosler bullets in the 175-grain range. I haven't gotten to the point of trying 120, 140, or 150-grain bullets as I use in my 7 Rem Mag. Have any of you?

Someone is gunna do this. Surprised I havent seen any factory options for a reduced recoil load.

Cholla - did you ever work up a load for the 120's? I would like to make some deer/antelope loads with the Nosler 120 gr BT's but there is no data that I can find.

It cant be that far off from a 7mm reg mag reduced recoil load for same weight projectile

I am loading some 141 grain Mono’s for my 7 prc and am still in the load dev stages. Haven’t maxed out pressure yet to see where I’m at but I am currently going 3375fps with 72 grains of n560. Only expect to get another grain or maybe grain and a half until I’m at maxed out.

What's your barrel length?

Plenty of 140 data, just start with a near max 140 charge and go from there for the 120's...pretty simple really. H4350, 4831sc, R19/23 should work well with the 120's

And for the record, 120NBT's straight wreck critters when driven fast

I have not, but Hornady has a pdf supplement available.
